What does the "Device Limit Exceeded" error mean?

For security and performance reasons, StockIntel allows a maximum of 10 active devices per account. You will trigger this error if you attempt to log in on an 11th device without removing an older one first.

What is considered as "1 device"?

A single device is counted as any distinct piece of hardware or individual web browser where you have logged into your StockIntel account.

Examples:

  • Logging into the mobile app on your smartphone counts as 1 device.

  • Logging into the app on your tablet counts as 1 device.

  • Logging into StockIntel on two different web browsers (e.g., Chrome and Safari) on the same computer counts as 2 devices.

  • Incognito / Private Browsing: Every time you log in using an Incognito or Private browser window, it counts as a new device. Because private windows do not save cookies, closing and reopening a new private window creates a separate device session.

How to Resolve the Error

To log in on your current device, you will need to clear out older sessions. You can easily manage your active devices directly from the StockIntel app.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the StockIntel mobile app on a device you are currently logged into.

  2. Navigate to your Account settings.

  3. Tap on Activity.

  4. Review the list of active sessions and delete any old, duplicate, or unused devices.

Once you drop below the 10-device limit, you will be able to log in on your new device immediately.

What if I don't have access to any of my devices?

If you have lost your phone, sold your old devices, or simply cannot access the StockIntel app to manage your activity, we can help.

You will need to submit a request for manual deletion to our support team. You can send email to [email protected] or reach out on our live chat.

  • Note: Please be aware that manual deletion requests are processed securely and may take a few hours to complete. Once completed, all previous devices will be logged out, and you can sign in fresh on your new device.
