Overview of the Historical Data Tool
The Historical Data tool allows Pakistani investors to quickly find and review the past daily closing share prices for any stock or and values for indices traded on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This tool is designed to help you analyze trends and make informed decisions.
How to access the tool?
You can access the tool by the left navigational menu or by quickly typing /his shortcut in StockIntel's search bar.
Default View
The default view shows the PSX Market Summary for all stocks listed on PSX. The latest available closing prices are shown in this for all PSX stocks.
What data is available on the page?
The PSX Market Summary Tab offers a broad perspective on the movement of listed items during one day.
The Historical section Tab enables you to select a PSX stock or index and explore its movement during the chosen timeframe.
How to find PSX Market Summary for today?
To access today's PSX Summary, simply navigate to the Market Summary tab.
What data is available in the PSX Market Summary for today?
For Indices
Symbol: The unique identifier for the PSX index like KSE100.
Name: The full name of the index like KSE 100 Index.
Open: The index's value at the beginning of the trading period.
High: The highest value the index reached during the trading period.
Low: The lowest value the index touched during the trading period.
Close: The index's final value at the end of the trading period.
Volume: The total trading volume for the index.
For Stocks and Sectors
Symbol: The unique identifier for the PSX stock or PSX sectors.
Name: The full name of the stock or sector.
Open: The opening price of the PSX stock or PSX sector at the beginning of the trading period.
High: The highest price the stock or sector reached during the trading period.
Low: The lowest price the stock or sector touched during the trading period.
Close: The final closing price of the stock or sector at the end of the trading period.
Volume: The total trading volume for the stock or sector.
Change: The absolute change in price from the previous closing price.
Change (%): The percentage change in price from the previous closing price.
How to find historical PSX Market Summary?
To view historical PSX Summary:
Choose the desired date using the date selection tool.
Click the "Preview Data" button to display the summary for that specific date.
How to find PSX indices today's Summary?
To access indices closing from a past date:
Go to the Market Summary tab.
From the first dropdown menu, choose the PSX index, like KSE 100 index, you want to view.
Select the desired date.
Click the Preview Data button to load the summary.
How to find PSX ETF's historical prices?
To access indices closing from a past date:
Go to the Market Summary tab.
From the first dropdown menu, choose the ETF you want to view.
Select the desired date.
Click the Preview Data button to load the summary.
How to find PSX stock historical prices?
To find and download historical share prices of PSX stocks
Begin by selecting Stocks from the initial dropdown menu.
Next, identify and select the PSX stock for which you wish to see historical price information.
Specify the frequency of the data (e.g., daily, weekly, etc.).
To load a summary of the data, click Preview Data.
Once the data is displayed, use the Export Excel button, found in the upper right corner of the table, to download the information to an Excel spreadsheet.

While historical data is valuable for analysis, past performance does not guarantee future results. Always conduct thorough research before making investment decisions.
