To ensure your portfolio's performance is calculated accurately, you can set up automatic charges for taxes and other regulatory fees. This saves you from manually entering them for every transaction. Here's how to do it:
Access the Charges Settings:
Find the Create Transaction button on the top right side of your screen.
Click on the three dots (...) next to it.
From the dropdown menu, select Edit Other Charges.
Define Your Automatic Charges:
In the settings window, you can set up automatic calculations for various charges. You have the option to set rules for the following:
CDC Charges: Fees from the Central Depository Company of Pakistan.
NCCPL Charges: Fees from the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited.
SECP Charges: Fees from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
Capital Gains Tax (CGT): Applicable tax on profits from the sale of shares.
Withholding Tax: Tax deducted at the source of your income.
Sales Tax: Any sales tax applicable to your transactions.
Any Other Charges: For miscellaneous fees not listed above.
Important Notes:
Future Transactions Only: These automatic charges will only be applied to new transactions you add from this point forward. They will not be retroactively applied to trades already in your portfolio.
Portfolio-Specific: These settings are tied to the specific portfolio you are currently in. You must configure them for each of your portfolios individually.
Manual Override: If you enter a charge amount manually when adding a trade, that value will override the automatic calculation for that specific transaction.
