Overview of the Market Movers Tool

The Market Movers is a scatter plot that displays the biggest daily gains, losses, and volume breakouts in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). It displays a chart with moving dots representing individual stocks of Pakistan, allowing users to quickly identify which stocks are rallying or falling on rising volume.

How to access the tool?

You can access the tool quickly by typing /mov in StockIntel's search bar.

Reading the Chart

The x-axis on the market movers chart represents relative volume, and the y-axis represents price change.

  • Dots in the top right in green: Stocks rising on high volume

  • Dots in the bottom right in red: Stocks falling on high volume

  • Cluster of dots: Indicates overall market sentiment

How to Adjust the Timeframe for Analysis?

How to filter stocks on the chart?

Users can apply various filters to customize this Market Movers tool according to their preferences.

Filter by Index: To select the index you want to analyze, use the first dropdown located on the right, just above the chart. The Market Mover chart is set to display data for the KSE All Index by default.

Filter by Sector: To choose the sector you wish to examine, use the second dropdown. By default, data for all sectors will be displayed.

How to View Values on the chart?

When you hover over the dot, you'll see the 1-day % change and today's volume compared to the average volume of the past 10 days, as long as the 1D option is selected.

What data is available in the table?

The table presents the number of gainers and losers according to the filters you’ve applied, along with the following details:

  • Symbol

  • Name

  • Last Price

  • Change

  • Change (%)

  • Volume

  • Relative Volume

How often is the Market Movers page updated?

The market movers page offers real-time data on all listed companies of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), providing investors with tick to tick information on stock prices, change in prices and their relative volumes.
