How to Find Your UKN on NCCPL

For Pakistani investors navigating the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Unique KYC Number (UKN) is an essential requirement. Issued by the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), your UKN acts as a universal, permanent investor ID that links your data across all brokers and the CDC.

Why You Need Your UKN

You will typically be asked for your UKN when:

  • Opening a new brokerage or CDC sub-account.

  • Transferring shares between different brokers.

  • Claiming unclaimed dividends via the CDC eDividend portal.

  • Updating your centralized KYC details (like your address, bank account, or phone number).

5 Quick Steps to Retrieve Your UKN

You can pull your UKN safely and securely directly from the NCCPL portal in under two minutes:

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official NCCPL UIS Portal.

  2. Log In: Enter your NCCPL-issued credentials (these are provided to you via email during your initial CKO registration).

  3. Navigate: Hover over KYC Report in the top navigation bar and select KYC Status Report.

  4. Fetch Data: You do not need to adjust the form filters. Leave everything on the default settings (your UIN will automatically be pre-filled) and click Fetch Report at the bottom right.

  5. Save Your UKN: A new tab will open displaying your full KYC record. Your UKN is prominently displayed at the very top. Copy it and save it somewhere secure.

Troubleshooting Tip: The status report opens in a new browser window. If nothing happens or f the portal shows a "No record found" error, contact your broker.
