What does the Settlement Data Chart represent?

PSX Historical Trade & Settlement Data

Updated this week

The chart provides an overview of daily trade and settlement value at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, and their ratio by UIN (Unique Identification Number).

  • The Bars: Total Traded Activity on PSX

    • Each bar on the chart indicates the total trading activity on the PSX during that specific period, depending on your selection.

    • This will show either the total volume of shares traded on PSX or the total value traded on PSX, based on whether you've selected "By Volume" or "By Value."

  • The Blue Area: Successfully Settled Portion

    • The blue part within each bar highlights the portion of that total trading activity that has been successfully settled. "Settled" means the shares have been delivered and funds exchanged, completing the transaction.

  • The Line: Settlement Ratio

    • The line overlaid on the chart represents the settlement ratio. This is a percentage which indicates how efficiently trades are being settled.

    • It's calculated as: (Settled Amount / Total Traded Amount) × 100. A higher ratio indicates more successful and timely settlements.
